FAQs
About the Product
1. What materials can each laser source process?
The HD1 combines multiple laser technologies so users can work across a wide range of materials.
Blue Diode Laser
Best for: wood, leather, Dark or opaque acrylic (Clear acrylic not compatible) , paper, cardboard, coated metals, rubber.
Infrared Fiber Laser (HD1 Pro and HD1 Ultra)
Optimized for: stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, titanium, precious metals, engineering plastics, anodized metals, and industrial marking applications.
MOPA Fiber Laser (HD1 Ultra)
Designed for advanced metal marking and color engraving applications including: color marking on stainless steel, high-contrast engravings, delicate plastics, jewelry engraving, precision industrial marking, and fine-detail artwork.
Material performance can vary depending on thickness, finish, coatings, and operating settings.
2. What’re the differences between ACCELaser HD1 Ultra and ACCELaser HD1 Pro?
There are two models in the lineup, the HD1 Pro and the HD1 Ultra, and the best part is they’re built on the exact same platform. You’re getting the same technology, the same workflow, and the same core capabilities on both machines.
Where they differ is in laser power, and that’s what allows you to choose the system that best fits your needs.
The HD1 Pro is equipped with a 55W blue diode laser and a 20W fiber laser. This combination is incredibly capable for day-to-day production, giving you the ability to engrave and cut organic materials like wood, leather, and acrylic, while also handling metal marking with confidence. For most users, this is more than enough power to run a business, create high-quality products, and cover a wide range of applications.
The HD1 Ultra steps up to an 80W blue diode laser and a 60W MOPA laser. With that added power, you’re able to move faster, process materials more efficiently, and take on more advanced applications when needed.
So rather than thinking of these as two completely different machines, it’s really about choosing your level of power.
3. What is the maximum engraving area and highest working speed of ACCELaser HD1?
The maximum engraving area is 650*345mm without the Automatic Conveyor Feeder and the highest working speed is 4000mm/s.
4. What type of connection is required?
You can choose to connect the device to the computer software via Wi-Fi or a Type-C cable.
5. Which operating systems and software does the machine support?
System:
Our laser engraving machine is compatible with both Windows and macOS.
Software:
Based on user preferences, we prioritize supporting LightBurn’s Pro license and actively offer driver compatibility to ensure 100% hardware support. Plus, we will provide free mobile software for easy task management on the go. This way, everyone gets to enjoy both flexibility and top-tier functionality!
6. What is the laser source of the 60W MOPA?
The MOPA laser source deployed in the Ultra is the JPT M7.
7. Is the stated laser power real output power?
Yes. All published power ratings are measured output power.
8. What type of infrared laser does the HD1 use?
- HD1 Pro uses a fiber laser.
- HD1 Ultra uses a MOPA.
9. How to switch between the blue diode laser and the IR laser?
Users can switch between the blue diode laser and the IR laser using the software.
10. Can both lasers be used simultaneously?
Yes, both laser sources can be switched seamlessly within a workflow.
11. Is the Air Assist Pump come with the machine?
For Air Assist Pump, we provide two options. One is the official Air Assist Pump, which is fully automatic and is available for purchase on our website. The other is an output interface for controlling external Air Assist Pumps or compressors. This output is a high/low level signal (0 or 24V). However, it requires certain electrical knowledge and manual wiring on your side. In this way, if you already have a strong air compressor, you can use your own.
12. How difficult is setup?
The HD1 is designed to be straightforward for both beginners and experienced makers. Most users can complete setup in under 30 minutes. The process includes:
- Removing shipping protection.
- Connecting power and exhaust.
- Installing software.
- Running guided calibration.
- Completing a first test project.
The machine arrives preassembled and prealigned from the factory, so no advanced mechanical setup is required.
We also provide:
- Step-by-step setup documentation.
- Onboarding videos.
- LightBurn configuration guides.
- Remote support assistance if needed.
13. What maintenance is required?
The HD1 is designed for low-maintenance operation. Routine maintenance includes:
- cleaning lenses and protective windows,
- removing dust and debris,
- checking air assist and exhaust airflow,
- inspecting belts and moving components,
- and periodically verifying calibration.
Maintenance frequency depends on usage volume and materials being processed.Regular cleaning and proper ventilation help maintain engraving quality and long-term reliability.
14. Do I need ventilation?
Yes, proper ventilation is recommended for all laser engraving and cutting systems. Laser processing can generate smoke, dust, fumes, and material particles depending on the material being used. The HD1 supports external exhaust and filtration solutions to help maintain a cleaner and safer workspace. For indoor operation, we recommend:
- External venting when possible,
- Or a compatible air filtration system for enclosed environments.
Some materials should never be processed due to hazardous fumes. Always follow recommended material safety guidelines.
15. Why choose ACCELaser over other laser systems?
