FAQs
About the Product
1. What kind of materials can ACCELaser HD1 Series engrave / cut?
Common materials are cuttable including:
- Wood (basswood, pine, oak, maple, beech and MDF...)
- Plastic (EVA foam, Pearl cotton and dark opaque acrylic.)
- Metal (stainless steel, aluminum and brass...)
- Others (leather, paper and cardboard...)
For acrylic cutting, there are specific color requirements. The diode laser can cut black, pink, red, and yellow acrylic. However, it is not suitable for transparent, blue, green, white, or similar colors.
In addition to the above materials, the following are also engraveable:
- Plastic (ABS, resin, and bakelite)
- Woods (hardwood, leaves, and bamboo)
- Metal (anodized aluminum, titanium alloy, silver, copper PCB, and tin)
- Stones & Jewels (jade, crystal, shale, and pebbles)
- Others (glass, graphite, cookies, and silicone)
Essentially, it covers nearly all common materials in daily life, allowing you to solve multiple processing challenges with just one machine! If you're unsure about material compatibility, feel free to reach out to us, and we'll be happy to assist.
2. What’re the differences between ACCELaser HD1 Ultra and ACCELaser HD1 Pro?
The only difference between the two models is power. While HD1 Ultra is equipped with 80W Blue and 60W MOPA lasers, HD1 Pro is equipped with 60W Blue and 20W IR lasers.
- For blue lasers, engraving speed is the main differentiator.
- For the 20W Fiber (Pro) and 60W MOPA (Ultra), the differences are not only in speed and processing time but also in capability. The MOPA laser excels at color marking on stainless steel and achieving premium finishes on plastics. These advantages are attributed to MOPA's frequency control, short pulse duration, and high peak power.
3. What is the maximum engraving area and highest working speed of ACCELaser HD1?
The maximum engraving area is 650*345mm without the Automatic Conveyor Feeder and the highest working speed is 4000mm/s.
4. What type of connection is required?
You can choose to connect the device to the computer software via Wi-Fi or a Type-C cable.
5. Which operating systems and software does the machine support?
System:
Our laser engraving machine is compatible with both Windows and macOS.
Software:
Based on user preferences, we prioritize supporting LightBurn’s Pro license and actively offer driver compatibility to ensure 100% hardware support. Plus, we will provide free mobile software for easy task management on the go. This way, everyone gets to enjoy both flexibility and top-tier functionality!
6. What is the laser source of the 60W MOPA?
The MOPA laser source deployed in the Ultra is the JPT M7.
7. Is the IR 20W input or output?
All power described in our product descriptions and marketing materials refers to output power.
8. Is the 20W laser IR or Fiber?
- Actually, these two concepts are not contradictory at all. Think of it this way:
- "IR laser" describes the wavelength (infrared range).
- "Fiber laser" describes the technology (how the laser is generated and delivered).
- A fiber laser is a type of IR laser, usually operating at 1064 nm, which falls within the infrared spectrum. But not all IR lasers are fiber lasers—CO₂ lasers, for example, also emit in the IR range (around 10,600 nm) but use a completely different mechanism. In the HD1's case, the 20W laser is both IR and Fiber laser.
9. How to switch between the blue diode laser and the IR laser?
Users can switch between the blue diode laser and the IR laser using the software.
10. Can both lasers be used in one job without stopping and switching?
Yes, you can switch between them on the fly—or even run both laser sources simultaneously. However, we haven’t found a strong use case where this dual activation provides a real advantage, so we’ve chosen not to highlight it heavily. Technology without meaningful application isn't useful.
